Easily Translate Documents
The most commonly used method to translate documents with SYSTRAN Professional Premium is through Microsoft application files - Word, Outlook email, Excel, PowerPoint, or a Web page in Internet Explorer - directly from the application itself by clicking on the “Translate” button located on the SYSTRAN Toolbar (see the enlarged screenshot of the SYSTRAN Toolbar on the first page). Available directly from the Office desktop, the SYSTRAN Toolbar includes all translation option features and the SYSTRAN Dictionary Manager.
The SYSTRAN Dictionary Manager (SDM) lets you create and maintain user-defi ned dictionaries (User Dictionaries) that provide the software with greater understanding and coverage about your subject matter. The more terms added to the SYSTRAN Dictionary Manager, Manager the higher the coverage of your terminology in the software. And higher coverage yields better quality translation results.
But if your goal is to reach publishing-level translation quality, you will need to use post-editing tools to fine-tune the results. That’s why SYSTRAN Professional Premium 5.0 includes a translation toolkit built into the product called SYSTRAN Translation Project.

SYSTRAN Translation Project Manager allows you to analyze documents from the start of your project, through adding terms to the User Dictionary, processing dictionary updates, and using built-in review tools for quality processing dictionary updates, and using built-in review tools for quality Dictionary assurance. These tools include terminology review, analysis of the source (original) document, full sentence review, use of alternate meanings, and other features to automate the post-editing process.

You can automatically translate words in context as well as the text not matched by previously translated Translation Memory segments with SYSTRAN Professional Premium. This is because the software is able to break down sentences into small components.
Translation Memory stores and recycles previously translated units of text—like sentences—in bilingual databases, and is commonly used in traditional translation services, in-house corporate translation departments and by freelance translators to automatically search for and replace previously translated sentences to increase productivity.
